Primary (Ages 6–8 Years)

Our Primary program supports young movers as they develop confidence, coordination, focus, and strong foundational skills across dance, acrobatics, hip hop, and parkour. At this stage, students are ready for more structured learning, longer combinations, and clear movement progressions—while still benefiting from creativity, play, and whole-child development. Lessons balance technique, musicality, agility, strength building, and expressive movement so every child grows with joy and success.

Classes Offered (All 45 Minutes)

  • Ballet – alignment, balance, posture, and expressive musicality
  • Jazz – strength, coordination, beginner turns and jumps, and performance skills
  • Tap – clarity of sounds, rhythmic patterns, timing, and coordination
  • Acro Foundations – safe tumbling, flexibility, strength, and body control
  • Hip Hop – age-appropriate grooves, rhythm training, and confident movement
  • Parkour – obstacle-based movement, balance, agility, landing skills, and early vaulting

TEAM classes are open to all Primary movers. TEAM options offer extra training, strength, and skill development for students who want more challenge. TEAM classes do not perform a routine in the recital.

Level Descriptions

Primary 1 (Ages 6–7 Years): Students build on their early foundations with more structured patterns, spatial awareness, musicality, agility, and coordination. This level introduces longer sequences and a growing sense of focus and independence.

Primary 2 (Ages 7–8 Years): A step up in challenge with increased technical expectations, emerging performance and movement quality, and greater strength and sequencing skills. Students refine agility, memory, and readiness for the Junior division.
