Many parents are lost when it comes to choosing the right arts program (ie: Dance, theatre, circus, music, singing, etc) for their kids.
Here’s a few things to look for when choosing an arts program for your kids…
By now we all know that participation in dance programs develops children’s motivation, self confidence, improves critical thinking skills, provides fine and gross motor skill mastery etc etc. (I could go on!)
So the question becomes not “Why” but “which one”. Read below to find out what to look for when choosing a dance studio for your kids.

- Safety!! – obviously this should be the number one concern of all parents. We recommend visiting the site. Take a walk around and know where you’re sending your kids. Are there viewing windows? cameras? Next, make sure all instructors, admin staff, janitors – basically anyone who might come into contact with your child – has an up to date vulnerable sector check. If this info isn’t obvious on the website you should ask. And (while we think this is a no-brainer…) If the answer is non committal or “no we don’t enforce checks” Just. Walk. Away. Children are precious, why take a risk??
